Meet the Whiskers Behind the Wax

I have always been drawn to the little things that make a home feel more like your own. Fragrance is one of those things for me. There is something comforting about coming home after a long day and being greeted by a familiar scent, that unmistakable feeling of home.

Waxed Whiskers grew from those memories, from the enjoyment of making things by hand, and from the idea that home fragrance can bring comfort, personality, and a little beauty to everyday life.

Hearthy has been beside me through all of it.

Hearthy is woven into Waxed Whiskers in all the ways that matter. She is never far from whatever I am working on, whether that means investigating a box, inspecting a new arrival, or settling into the exact spot I was planning to use.

She can’t pour the wax, of course, but she has an opinion about every scent and strongly encourages frequent breaks for cuddles and snacks.

A Love of Scent

I have always loved the way fragrance settles into a home and becomes part of its atmosphere. A familiar scent can make a room feel warmer, brighter, calmer, or simply more inviting.

Waxed Whiskers grew from that appreciation and from the pleasure of creating something by hand. I spend a great deal of time choosing fragrances, testing combinations, pouring small batches, and deciding which scents feel right for the collection.

Some are familiar and comforting. Others are unexpected. Many are inspired by the seasons, small rituals, and the scents we remember long after the moment itself has passed.

There is something especially satisfying about finding just the right fragrance for a room, a season, or simply the mood you are in. That feeling is at the heart of Waxed Whiskers.

From Our Little Studio

Waxed Whiskers is still at the beginning of our story.

There are candles curing, wax melts being poured, photographs being taken, packages being prepared, and more ideas than I know what to do with. Alongside the wax, the shop is slowly growing to include warmers, matches, candle accessories, and other pieces chosen to make home fragrance a little more enjoyable.

Waxed Whiskers is a woman owned small business, and I have been incredibly fortunate to have the encouragement, patience, and support of family and friends as I bring it to life. Their enthusiasm has made the long days, constant testing, and many small decisions feel lighter and more meaningful.
